Otoplasty

This is a surgical procedure aimed at correcting various ear deformities, the most common being "prominent ear", characterized by an increased angle between the ear and the scalp. Ear growth remains constant from birth until approximately six or seven years of age, which is why surgery is typically recommended during this period.

The procedure can be performed under local or general anesthesia and generally lasts between two to four hours.

Postoperative discomfort is usually minimal, and patients can typically resume light mobility the following day. It is essential to follow your surgeon’s guidance regarding medications and postoperative care to ensure optimal recovery and results.
